1. Draw blood
At the time of surgery or up to 24 hours before use, 120 ml of the patient's blood is drawn into a special reservoir called the Preparation Unit [1]. |

2. Press the button
The Preparation Unit is placed in the Processor Unit and by the touch of a button the process begins. The operator can now attend to other tasks while the process takes place. |

3. Spray
After 23 minutes an autologous fibrin I solution containing no added thrombin is ready to use. The syringe containing the Vivostat® fibrin I solution is taken to the operating theatre and loaded into the Applicator Unit. The fibrin sealant is now ready for application using the unique Spraypen™. |
