The history of Vivostat

Vivostat A/S, formerly known as Vivolution A/S, was formed in 2000 to launch the Vivostat® system, initially on the European market. From the original idea, which was conceived in 1992 by a Danish researcher, a multitude of specialists from three continents have been involved in the development and testing of the unique Vivostat® system prior to the commercial launch by Vivolution in 2001.

During the development phase, the intellectual property right owner, Bristol-Meyers Squibb Company, formed an amazing development group for the Vivostat® project. Participants included a vast number of internal specialists within biochemistry, QS and IPR as well as external researchers from the UK, clinical specialists from Japan and the US and engineering design support from Denmark.

As part of their focus strategy Bristol-Meyers Squibb Company decided to divest the Vivostat® project in 1999 and as a natural consequence the company Vivolution A/S was formed. In May 2008 Vivolution decided to change the company to Vivostat A/S to focus all corporate and product related communication around the successful Vivostat® brand name.
