Magnus Corfitzen is a member of the Sunstone Capital Life Science Ventures team that was spun out of Vaekstfonden in May 2007. Magnus joined the team in late 2002 and during this time he has been involved in numerous start-up companies, including deal structuring, financing and development strategy, management recruitment and board membership. Furthermore, Magnus has been responsible for improving deal flow as well as implementing new investment processes in Life Science Ventures.
He has a background as Portfolio Manager in Danske Capital with the responsibility for all investments in publicly quoted biotech and medtech companies with more than EUR 500 million in investments. Prior to this Magnus served as consultant with McKinsey & Company working with clients within finance, venture and pharmaceutical companies.
Magnus Corfitzen is currently a member of the board in Nordic Vaccine, Vivostat and Dentofit.
Magnus obtained a Master in Mathematical Economics from University of Aarhus which included studies at Harvard University.
